eskiin is currently compatible with 99% of US showers that have a 1/2" spout! Your eskiin comes with everything you need to install it, including a wrench to remove your old shower head and to tighten on your shiny new one! If you live in the United States and have plumbing coming from your shower wall or ceiling, you can install your eskiin minutes after it arrives.

Most filtered showerheads found on websites like Amazon only use KDF-55 or activated carbon materials as the "filter." But they don't contain anything for ultrafiltration capabilities to filter our physical contaminents. In other words, they don't do the job very well. We made eskiin to have the best water filtration capabilities on the market. eskiin combines both KDF-55 and activated carbon into its 15-layer filtration system. There is no showerhead filter on the market like ours.

eskiin's filter is compact but mighty! There are 15 layers inside working to filter out chlorine, heavy metals like arsenic, cadmium, nickel, mercury, chromium, zinc, and lead, bacteria, and microplastics. Here's what makes up eskiin's 15 layers:

1. High density stainless steel mesh: Acts as a body guard for any contaminants and impurities entering or leaving the shower head and increases water pressure.
2. PP Cotton: Absorbs dirt, dust, impurities and other harmful substances; leaving your skin smoother, your hair softer.
3.VC: removes residual chlorine and other impurities from hard water.
4. Maifan Stone: is really good at getting rid of harmful stuff like mercury, lead, cadmium, arsenic, and other heavy metals. It also helps remove fluoride and disinfects gases like chlorine.
5. Mineralized Ball: Gets rid of almost all the chlorine toxins in water.
6. Magnetic Energy Ball: Boosts the amount of good air ions and raises the level of dissolved oxygen in water.
7. Ceramic Ball: Makes the water active and charged, kills bacteria, and lessens the bad effects of chlorine.
8. Alkaline Ball: Turns acidic water to alkaline.
9. Calcium Sulphite: Takes out Chlorine and Chloramines from your shower water. Sulphites react with the chlorine in the shower water to remove it.
10. KDF-55: Gets rid of almost all of the lead, nickel, mercury, chromium, and other metals that dissolve in water. The KDF filter also prevents the growth of bacteria, fungi, algae, and scale.
11. Coconut Activated Carbon: Is considered as the best solution for activated carbon. When water impurities like chlorine, oxygen, and fluorine go through the coconut activated carbon with pressure, they react with the carbon and get absorbed.

14 & 15. 2 x toxin ultra filter membranes: The sides of the membrane can catch really tiny bits in shower water, getting rid of 98-99% of the cloudiness. This includes things like rust, microplastics, dirt, bacteria, lead, sediment, algae, fungus, and other things as small as 0.2 microns. 

On average, your filter needs to be changed every 3 months, but potentially more often if you're, say,  a family of four all using the showerhead 1-2 times daily versus a single-person household showering once daily.
